(b) We collect the content, communications and other information you provide when you use our Product, including when you sign up for an account, create or join social media creation projects, and interactions with others. This can include information in or about the content you provide (like metadata), such as the location of a video or the date a file was created. Our systems automatically process content and communications you and others provide to analyze context.
(c) We collect information about the people, accounts, hashtags and groups you are connected to and how you interact with them across our Product, such as people you communicate with the most or groups you are part of. We also collect contact information if you choose to use Phone Authorization.

(e) We also receive and analyze content, communications and information that other people provide when they use our Product. This can include information about you, such as when others follow you or send a message to you.
(f) We only collect tax numbers from Canadian VIP Subscribers who are interested in receiving commission from Tiyans located in Canada. Your tax number is securely stored and will not be shared with any third party.

2. How do we use Cookies?

(a) Cookies are small text files containing a string of characters that can be placed on your computer or mobile device that uniquely identifies your browser or device. We may use technologies like cookies, pixels and local storage to deliver, secure, and understand products, services, and ads.
(b) Cookies and other technologies allow a website, an app or services to know if your computer or device has visited it before. These technologies can then be used to deliver products, services, and ads, help us understand how the site or service is being used, help you navigate between pages efficiently, help remember your preferences, and generally improve your experience in using our services. Cookies can also help ensure marketing you see online is more relevant to you and your interests.
(c) We use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to show you relevant content, improve your experience. We may use these technologies to deliver the service, provide you with a service that is easy to use, enables you to move around the Service and store information so that TiyanPie responds faster. We may use these technologies to collect information about how you use the Service, for example which pages you go to most often and if you get error messages from certain pages. We may use these technologies to allow us to remember choices you make (such as your user name, language or the region you’re in) and tailor the Service to provide enhanced features and content for you. The legal basis for the processing is point (f) of Article 6 (1) GDPR. The legitimate interests that we pursue are providing user-friendly Services and optimising them.
(d) The length of time a cookie will stay on your computer or mobile device depends on whether it is a “persistent” or “session” cookie. Session cookies will only stay on your device until you stop browsing. Persistent cookies stay on your computer or mobile device until they expire or are deleted.
(e) We use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our Services on your device. This software may record information such as how often you use the application, the events that occur within the application, aggregated usage, performance data, and where the application was downloaded from. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personal information you submit within the mobile application. The legal basis for the processing is point (f) of Article 6 (1) GDPR. The legitimate interests that we pursue are providing user-friendly Services and optimising them.

3. How do we use this information?

We use the information we have (subject to choices you make) as described below and to provide and support the Verve Group’s Product and related services described in the Terms. Here’s how:
(a) We use the information we have to deliver our Product, including to personalize features and content and make suggestions for you (such as destinations or events you may be interested in or businesses you may want to follow) on and off our Product. To create personalized Product that are unique and relevant to you, we use your connections, preferences, interests and activities based on the data we collect and learn from you and others (including any data with special protections you choose to provide); how you use and interact with our Product; and the people, places, or things you’re connected to and interested in on and off our Product.
(b) We connect information about your activities on different Verve Group’s Product and devices to provide a more tailored and consistent experience on all Verve Group’s Products you use, wherever you use them. For example, we can suggest you a travel destination that you follow on TiyanPie or communicate with using TiyanPie.
(c) We use location-related information-such as your current location, where you live, the places you like to go, and the businesses and people you’re near-to provide, personalize and improve our Product, for you and others. Location-related information can be based on things like precise device location (if you’ve allowed us to collect it), and information from your and others’ use of Verve Group’s Product.
(d) We use the information we have to develop, test and improve our Product, including by conducting surveys and research, and testing and troubleshooting new Product and features.
(e) We use the information we have (including your activity off our Product, such as the feeds you visit and videos you watch) to help advertisers and other partners measure the effectiveness and distribution of their ads and services, and understand the types of people who use their services and how people interact with their websites, apps, and services.
(f) We use the information we have to verify accounts and activity, combat harmful conduct, detect and prevent spam and other bad experiences, maintain the integrity of our Product, and promote safety and security on and off of Verve Group’s Products. For example, we use data we have to investigate suspicious activity or violations of our terms or policies, or to detect when someone needs help.
(g) We use the information we have to send you marketing communications, communicate with you about our Product, and let you know about our policies and terms. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us.

4. How is this information shared?

Your information is shared with others in the following ways:
(a) When you share and communicate using our Product, you choose the audience for what you share. For example, when you post a tiyan request on Tiyanpie, you select the audience for the post, such as a group, all of your friends, the public, or a customized list of people. Similarly, when you use private chat to communicate with people, those people can see the content you send.
(b) You should consider who you choose to share with, because people who can see your activity on our Product can choose to share it with others on and off our Product, including people and businesses outside the audience you shared with. For example, when you share a post or send a message to specific friends or accounts, they can download, screenshot, or reshare that content to others across or off our Product, in person or in online. Also, when you comment on someone else’s post or react to their content, your comment or reaction is visible to anyone who can see the other person’s content, and that person can change the audience later.
(c) People can also use our Product to create and share content about you with the audience they choose. For example, people can share a video of you in a Story, mention or tag you at a location in a post, or share information about you in their posts or messages. If you are uncomfortable with what others have shared about you on our Product, you can report to us with Report Function.
(d) We work with third-party partners who help us provide and improve our Product or who use TiyanPie to grow their businesses, which makes it possible to operate our companies and provide free services to people around the world. We don’t sell any of your information to anyone, and we never will. We also impose strict restrictions on how our partners can use and disclose the data we provide.
(e) We provide aggregated statistics and insights that help people and businesses understand how people are engaging with their posts, listings, Pages, videos and other content on and off the Verve Group’s Product from Google Firebase.
(f) We provide advertisers with reports about the kinds of people seeing their ads and how their ads are performing, but we don’t share information that personally identifies you (information such as your name or email address that by itself can be used to contact you or identifies who you are) unless you give us permission. For example, we provide general demographic and interest information to advertisers (for example, that an ad was seen by a woman between the ages of 25 and 34 who lives in Toronto and prefers business class to private jet when traveling to the Caribbean) to help them better understand their audience.
(g) We provide information and content to vendors and service providers who support our business, such as by providing technical infrastructure services, analyzing how our Product are used, providing customer service, facilitating payments or conducting surveys.
(h) We also provide information and content to research partners and academics to conduct research that advances scholarship and innovation that support our business or mission, and enhances discovery and innovation on topics of general social welfare, technological advancement, public interest, health and well-being.
(i) We share information with law enforcement or in response to legal requests in the circumstances outlined below.

5. How can you manage or delete information about you?

(a) We store data until it is no longer necessary to provide our services and Verve Group’s Product, or until your account is deleted - whichever comes first. This is a case-by-case determination that depends on things like the nature of the data, why it is collected and processed, and relevant legal or operational retention needs. If you submit a copy of your government-issued ID for account verification purposes, we delete that copy 30 days after submission.
(b) When you delete your account, we delete experience projects you have posted, such as your profile name, profile image, and you won’t be able to recover that information later. Information that others have shared about you isn’t part of your account and won’t be deleted.

6. How do we respond to legal requests or prevent harm?

We access, preserve and share your information with regulators, law enforcement or others:
(a) In response to a legal request (like a search warrant, court order or subpoena) if we have a good faith belief that the law requires us to do so. This may include responding to legal requests from jurisdictions outside of the Canada when we have a good-faith belief that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction, affects users in that jurisdiction, and is consistent with internationally recognized standards.
(b) When we have a good-faith belief it is necessary to: detect, prevent and address fraud, unauthorized use of the Product, violations of our terms or policies, or other harmful or illegal activity; to protect ourselves (including our rights, property or Product), you or others, including as part of investigations or regulatory inquiries; or to prevent death or imminent bodily harm. For example, if relevant, we provide information to and receive information from third-party partners about the reliability of your account to prevent fraud, abuse and other harmful activity on and off our Product.
(c) Information we receive about you can be accessed and preserved for an extended period when it is the subject of a legal request or obligation, governmental investigation, or investigations of possible violations of our terms or policies, or otherwise to prevent harm. We also retain information from accounts disabled for terms violations for at least a year to prevent repeat abuse or other term violations.

7. How do we operate and transfer data as part of our global services?

User data is stored on servers located in the United States via Google Cloud Services. We may transfer information that we collect about you to affiliated entities, or to other third parties across borders and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world. Please note that these countries and jurisdictions may not have the same data protection laws as your own jurisdiction, and you consent to the transfer of information to the U.S. and the use and disclosure of information about you, including personal information, as described in the Policy. The legal basis for transmitting data to recipients outside the EU is point (b) of Article 49 (1) GDPR.

8. How will we notify you?

(a) We’ll notify you before we make changes to this policy and give you the opportunity to review the revised policy before you choose to continue using our Product.
(b) We may occasionally send you push notifications through our mobile applications to send you game updates, high scores and other service related notifications that may be of importance to you. You may at any time opt-out from receiving these types of communications by turning them off at the device level through your settings. The legal basis for the processing is point (f) of Article 6 (1) GDPR. The legitimate interest that we pursue is providing user-friendly Services.

9. How do we protect your Personal Information?

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or against loss, misuse or alteration by third parties.
Although we make good faith efforts to store the information collected on the Service in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of that information during its transmission or its storage on our systems. Further, while we attempt to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent third-party “hackers” from illegally obtaining access to this information. We do not warrant or represent that your information will be protected against, loss, misuse, or alteration by third parties. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

10. What third party services do we use?

Our Services may use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, to collect information about the use of our Services. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information on users using our Services. The information collected about your use of our Services will be transmitted to and processed by Google on servers in the United States. The data collected by Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google.
Google will use this information in order to evaluate your use of the Services, to compile reports on Service activities and to provide other services relating to our Services. The legal basis for the processing is point (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are to analyse our Services to improve the user experience and to optimise the Services in general. The transfer of data to Google is based on a data processing agreement.
